We are a leading engineering service provider in the field of rail vehicles and are looking to strengthen our team with a Technical Editor (m/f/d) experienced in rail vehicle projects. Our company supports clients in the development, documentation, and optimization of technical solutions for rail vehicles.
Location: Berlin/partially remote
Your Responsibilities:
Creation and maintenance of technical documentation for rail vehicles, especially maintenance and operating manuals, as well as spare parts lists.
Research and preparation of technical information from design and development documents.
Structuring and standardization of technical content according to applicable standards and customer requirements.
Coordination with internal specialist departments, customers, and external service providers to ensure documentation quality.
Review and verification of maintenance and operational manuals directly on the vehicle or test stands.
Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., DIN EN 82079-1, IEC 61355).
Support in the development and improvement of editorial processes and documentation guidelines.
Your Profile:
Completed technical training or degree in Technical Documentation, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or comparable fields.
Several years of experience in technical documentation, ideally in the rail vehicle, aerospace, or mechanical engineering sectors.
In-depth knowledge in the creation of maintenance and operation documentation.
Experience with common editorial systems and content management systems.
Very good analytical skills and the ability to present complex matters clearly and structured.
Practical thinking with ideally field experience in rail activities.
Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written.
Proficient in MS Office and relevant documentation tools.
Strong communication skills, teamwork ability, and an independent, structured way of working.
