For our client in the semiconductor / microchip sector we are looking for a Software Architect Embedded Control - Semiconductor Technologies (m / f / d) to start as soon as possible .
The weekly working time is 40 hours. The duration of the assignment is 18 months with the option of being taken on by our client.

🏠 Remote share: 3 days per week (remaining share on site in Oberkochen, near Ulm)
📍 Location: Oberkochen (near Aalen / Heidenheim)
📃 Type of contract: Temporary employment
🕛 Duration: 18 months (with option to be taken on by the customer)
🌴Holiday time: 30 days per year
Your tasks:
You will define the software architecture for the next generations of machines and shape the digital future in semiconductor manufacturing
You will find the best solutions for embedded systems (most likely running Linux) in terms of software structure, technology stack and development tools and consider constraints such as hardware, legacy and performance requirements
Analyze system requirements, coordinate technical requirements and proposals and decide on options with the team
Communicate with internal & external stakeholders such as software developers, POs and electronics teams
Guide team members to use best code standards, compilation pipelines with efficient/automated builds, testing and deployment
Optionally, this role can also act as a technical PO
Your skills:
You have proven experience as a software architect and in professional software development
You can use UML, design patterns and other methods and approaches (such as SysML, C4 model, OPM, etc. with tools such as Enterprise Architect) to describe and coordinate the design of software systems
You know C and C++ and build systems such as Azure Dev Ops Pipelines and Git to find the best overall solution
You have developed real-time control systems based on both Linux and bare-metal implementations
Optionally you have experience as PO or system engineer
You can communicate clearly, concisely and empathetically and have a passion for successfully solving complex challenges independently and as part of a team
Very good command of English and optionally German
