With this mandate, we support our customer from the Düsseldorf region in filling a central Data Migration Lead (m/f/d) position.
The assignment is planned on the basis of the service contract.

On-site presence in Cologne/Düsseldorf is occasionally required.
Tasks:
Lead and manage data migration projects from inception to delivery, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards
Support in the data schema validation across systems, verifying that the data conforms to the predefined data model, ensuring consistency in structure and format
Oversee the data cleansing activities, detecting and identifying anomalies, inconsistencies, or inaccuracies within the dataset, such as missing values, duplicates, or incorrect formatting
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product, backend, development, and data engineering to drive the migration process
Facilitate regular status checks, providing guidance on refining requirements and ensuring alignment with project objectives
Act as a bridge between team-internal and external stakeholders, fostering effective communication and collaboration
Assume technical ownership for data migration pipelines, driving continuous improvement and optimization
Craft comprehensive project plans, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions during migration activities
Uphold CLIENTs strategic objectives by delivering robust data migration solutions aligned with organizational goals
Requirements:
profound knowledge around technologies supporting data transformations, including:
extract-Transform-Load (ETL) platforms, data integration frameworks, scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL), specialized libraries (e.g., Apache Spark, Pandas)
SAP Cloud Certifications
A profound understanding of the PaaS and SaaS concepts, benefits, and challenges
Knowledge of architecture methodologies including TOGAF
Proven experience managing data migration projects, with a strong understanding of data management principles and best practices
Proficiency in agile methodologies and project management tools, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
Excellent communication in English and German and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders
Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges encountered during migration efforts
Ideally a Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; PMP or equivalent certification preferred
Capability to design, review and implement solution documentation along the project in line with CLIENTS strategy
Strong understanding of agile methodologies and their application in delivering robust solutions
English is mandatory
German is a plus
