As the Ecodesign Engineer, you will:
Main Responsibilities:
Ensure ecodesign expertise for local platforms, subsystems, tenders, and projects.
Perform ecodesign analysis of tenders, including assessing contractual and legal requirements.
Conduct cross-analysis of national, European, and international environmental standards and regulations.
Prepare ecodesign specifications at the train or component level.
Participate in design activities to ensure compliance with contractual, legal, and standard ecodesign requirements.
Attend relevant Design Review and Gate Review meetings to ensure ecodesign performance conformity.
Contribute to studies on corrective actions and risk mitigation plans related to ecodesign commitments.
Conduct and update ecodesign studies until the delivery of the final product.
Implement ecodesign R&D results into projects.
Knowledge and Experience:
Experienced Ecodesign Engineer, Material Engineer with environmental competencies, or Generalist Engineer with material competencies.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in ecodesign or related fields.
Knowledge of international standards and regulations concerning environmental issues such as hazardous substances, environmental communication, energy efficiency, and end-of-life considerations.
Familiarity with environmental assessment methods (e.g., LCA, carbon footprint) and related tools.
Strong communication skills, proactive attitude, and ability to work well within teams.
Advanced level of English proficiency in conversation, writing, and reading is mandatory.
Advanced level of French proficiency in conversation and reading is preferred.
