Our client need an external EHS Coordinator to support the Project Management team in achieving exceptional Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) results. This role will be crucial in ensuring compliance with EHS regulations, implementing preventive measures, and fostering a culture of safety across our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the "Service Interne pour la protection et la prevention au travail" and collaborate with unions and site management to address EHS concerns effectively.

  • Conduct EHS risk assessments and define appropriate measures to control risks for ongoing and upcoming projects.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain emergency response plans at site level to ensure preparedness for unforeseen events.

  • Oversee EHS activities in the field and at depots, particularly focusing on interfaces with customers, contractors, and operational areas.

  • Provide guidance, support, and coaching to the EHS teams, ensuring they are equipped to fulfill their roles effectively.

  • Collaborate with social and medical partners, fostering open communication and cooperation regarding EHS matters.

  • Support EHS project staffing and provide on-site EHS support during project execution phases, including audits of EHS plan implementation.

  • Ensure the deployment of EHS standards and tools (such as AZDP, TOPE, and Transport Key processes) at site, field, and depot levels.

Qualifications

▪ University Engineer or Business Degree

▪ Health & Safety Qualification recognized by the enforcing authorities in the country of operation (Prevention advisor level 1)

Skills

▪ Experience of almost 3 years in Environment, Health & Safety

▪ Good knowledge and understanding of ISO14001, OHSAS 18001,ISO45001

▪ Deep knowledge of local legal requirements
